mixtape is usually used for more comical purposes lately but they’re still fun to make
and no, i am not trying to be that indie hipster girl with a vinyl record collection who’s into quirky bands and quirky coffee and has quirky philosophies and quirky fetishes no i just like making these that is all.
a mixtape is a collection of music, similar or not similar in terms of genres/styles/artists, assorted together and recorded somehow, whether on an actual, like, tape (who’s heard of those? just kidding lmao) or vinyl or a cd. traditionally, its all original, self-mixed music, but who even knows how to do that anymore just kidding a lot of people to i’m just not talented enough
