a reflection of my 2015-2016 school year

i’m out for summer though so you know what that means 😉 😉 😉
so anyway i just wanted to update you guys on what i’ve been doing instead of blogging…yeah i tried living for once!!1! it was a confusing experience

i was looking through my old posts on my main blog and HOLY WOW cringe cringe cringe but i have honestly changed so much it’s crazy. i just finished my sophomore year which is insane but i’m switching schools next year so i am so terrified sos

but this school year was so amazing & i will tell you all about it even though none of you asked ❤

so i took several difficult classes this year and memorized a bunch of irrelevant facts but let me tell you about…

the things i really learned:

• all classes are survivable, even if they make you breakdown multiple times
• most popular people are extremely fake, and if you don’t get invited to their parties, be flattered bc you’re not fake like they are
• but there are also some popular people that are actually super nice, give them a chance
• not everyone is going to get along with you, and that’s okay
• be open to new people and new friends bc new things are fascinating and worth it
• you don’t have to stick to your comfort zone, your best memories happen when you step out of it
• everyone else’s opinions are irrelevant
• TEXT PEOPLE BACK
• old friends drift apart sometimes and it’s not your fault, you don’t have to fix anything
• people notice when you wear the same clothes as 4-5 years ago lol
• teachers don’t actually hate you and want you to succeed, but the difference between good and bad teachers is how difficult they make your success
• don’t let your emotions control common sense
• head over heart
• laugh a lot and enjoy the moment
• make sure he’s your best friend before he’s your boyfriend
• recognize and cherish blessings
• no matter how many supplies you insist you’ll need in the summer, you’ll only use half of it
• being a procrastinator with a violent fear of failure = lots of late nights & it’s totally your fault
• you’re going to be friends with people you never thought you would and they’re going to be the best people in your life
• be friends with people who share memes & amazing music with you BECAUSE WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED IN LIFE.
• always have a hopeful attitude inside but it’s okay to be cynical on the outside
• although you should make school/homework/studying your #1 priority, remember to leave your desk once in a while to say hello to your family
• intelligence is attractive, stop acting dumb on purpose all the time
• best friends are for late night conversations and dying over hot guys
• hugging guys is okay and if people call you a whore/player for it they feel insecure and need a hug also
• not all lower classmen are annoying af and deserve a chance to be respected & loved 🙂
• you are not defined by your snapchat score, how many people watch your snapchat story, the number of likes your pictures get on instagram, how many followers you have on instagram, how many people signed your yearbook
• open your eyes once in a while and love every moment, every person, every thing that has made you who you are

the random things that happened

• had 7 tests in one day
• fallen asleep while facetiming a guy i like (multiple times actually lol)
• been involved with people who are all swimmers i don’t understand i swear i don’t like them for their abs it just kind of happens that everyone i’ve liked/everyone who’s liked me has been a swimmer?? THE ABS ARE JUST A BONUS I S2G
• been hit on by a f boy :)))))
• had my dad chaperone a fieldtrip?? it was actually okay haha love you dad
• randomly sprayed with axe body spray omg pls help it’s so strong
• pissed off some guys running a photobooth
• MADE ONE OF THOSE PINTEREST YARN BALLOON ORB THINGS SO PROUD V TUMBLR jk not
• gone through a week of school all while having a fever
• befriended my school secretary who is really chill lmao
• mildly offended hank conger, former catcher of the los angeles angels 🙂 (i apologized after and he told me he was kidding haha)

and i’m sure there’s plenty more but i can’t really think of them right now. this past school year has honestly been one the best and i’m scared to think of what awaits in 2ish months but that’s okay bc that’s a later problem. summer is HERE and i’m probably just going to waste it again lol okay i’m going to stop talking now
